Product terms and privacy

Effective September 10, 2026

What you are buying

Each product page lists its price in USD, included deliverables, scope, and turnaround. These are one-time purchases. Personal services are delivered in English by Chip Moreno; the document review is provided through EcuaPass. The Cuenca toolkit is a self-guided digital product.

Delivery and your information

Turnaround starts when payment and the required intake are complete. Document reviews start once you submit your document set. Business days mean Monday–Friday, excluding Ecuador national public holidays. Personal services use a short qualification before payment and a saved private brief afterward. Your private order page shows the status, delivery date, and finished work. Keep access links private.

Clarifications

Personal services include one written clarification submitted from your order page within 14 days of delivery. A clarification concerns the original scope and does not add a second household, another visa category, a new trip, or a new report. The self-guided toolkit does not include personal advice.

Cancellations and problems

To cancel a personal service before work starts, contact hello@expatecuador.com with your order reference. If we cannot fulfill the agreed scope, you may choose a refund. If an order arrives incomplete or a download does not work, contact us so we can correct it or arrange an appropriate refund. Refund requests are reviewed personally; refunds are processed to the original payment method. Any mandatory consumer rights still apply.

Scope and use

Plans and reports are based on the facts and sources available at the time of delivery. Costs, provider availability, and official requirements can change. A document readiness review does not guarantee authority acceptance. Applications, bookings, third-party fees, and other services are included only when a product page expressly says so. Toolkit downloads are licensed for your household’s personal use; do not resell or redistribute them.

Order privacy

We use your name, email, intake, uploaded documents, and order history to process payment, fulfill your order, provide access, and respond to your included clarification. Buying a product does not subscribe you to marketing. To understand which public pages help customers choose a product, we record product views, recommendation clicks, and form error field names with a random tab-session identifier and bounded campaign labels. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for these product activity events. Names, emails, private links, intake answers, and document contents are excluded from these activity events. Payment and refund records remain necessary for order administration. Unlinked activity events are retained for up to 90 days. Stripe processes payment details; Expat Ecuador does not receive your full card number. The site uses Vercel hosting, Neon order storage, and Resend transactional email. Order messages may arrive through our existing EcuaPass email service.

Documents and retention

Upload only the documents needed for your review through the private order page. PDF, JPEG, and PNG are accepted, up to 3 MB each and 10 files per review. Uploaded file content is encrypted before storage and access requires your private order credentials or staff access. You can remove files before submitting and after the review is delivered. Uploaded documents are scheduled for removal 30 days after delivery; order and payment records may be retained for accounting and support. Contact hello@expatecuador.com for an access or deletion request.

Your toolkit working copy

Toolkit edits are stored in your browser on your device. They are not synced to your order or sent to Chip. Export your working copy regularly, especially before changing devices or clearing browser storage.
