Your inquiry and our AI assistant
ExpatEcuador is operated by Chip Moreno and connects readers with EcuaPass, Ecuador Translations, EcuaInsure, and FileAbroad. This page explains the assistant and the free inquiry service.
Asking the AI assistant
The assistant uses OpenAI to generate short replies to your questions. When you ask it something, your question and the earlier questions in that conversation are sent to OpenAI to produce the reply. It is an AI assistant, not Chip or a professional advisor. Its replies can be mistaken; a human must confirm any individual visa, tax, translation-acceptance, or insurance decision.
Keep questions general. Do not enter passport or cédula numbers, tax identifiers, financial account information, passwords, medical records, or document images. The assistant is not monitored for emergencies. Your name and email address are entered only in the separate inquiry form and are never sent to the AI.
Sending an inquiry
When you fill in the inquiry form, your browser sends your name, email address, and message directly to Web3Forms, which processes the information to deliver the notification to Chip. The form contents do not pass through an ExpatEcuador server. Your email address is used to reply to you. A reference is shown after a confirmed delivery; you can mention it in any follow-up. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Please do not include private documents, medical details, tax identifiers, or passport numbers in the initial inquiry. Use the private order or advisor process for documents if requested later.
Your choices
You can stop the conversation, send a direct inquiry, or keep reading. To ask about an inquiry or request deletion of its details, email info@expatecuador.com and include your inquiry reference if available.
Opening WhatsApp does not send a message. WhatsApp handles information you choose to send there under its own terms.
